Burdenko, Honoured scientific Worker of RF, full member of Russian section of International surgical college honorary member of German surgical society, chairman of All-Russian society of surgeons-gastroenterologists, editorial member of journals: «Surgery», «Thoracic and cardio-vascular surgery», «Annals of surgery», «Clinic medicine». Academician Chernousov is a founder of big surgical scientific school. His disciples work in major scientific, clinic and educational medical institutes in Russia and UIS countries. 30 doctoral dissertations and 76 candidate’s dissertations were prepared under his supervision. He is an author of more than 350 scientific works including 25 monographs. His book «Surgery of gastric cancer» was awarded by prize of RAS as the bes work in 2006 year. He was decorated with an honor order and «Merits before Motherland».
